NCT Trial Selection Board
The international NCT Trial Selection Board (TSB) is composed of highly experienced clinical trials experts from numerous fields of relevance to the NCT, including industry representatives as well as patient representatives. During the first two years of work, additional members were added to the TSB to manage the increasing volume of trial synopses submissions, optimize task distribution, and address gaps in underrepresented or underserved disciplines.
Chaired by Jonathan Fletcher (Harvard Medical School), the TSB evaluates synopses using five predefined criteria. These include assessing the medical need and significance for patients, the level of international scientific competitiveness, the existence of own preparatory work of the applicants, the innovation or intellectual property potential for the NCT IIT Portfolio, and the contribution to the overall success of the NCT IIT Portfolio.
