Bio
Prof. Glyn Elwyn is an internationally recognized expert in shared decision making and patient-centered care, based at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College, USA. His research focuses on developing and evaluating tools and interventions to support shared decision-making between patients and healthcare professionals. He co-developed the Option Grid decision aids, which are widely used globally to support informed, values-based healthcare decisions. He received his medical degree from Cardiff University in Wales and his PhD from Radboud University in the Netherlands. He also holds professorial appointments at Radboud University and University College London.
