NCT School of Clinical Cancer Research (SCCR)

Strengthening Excellence in Clinical Cancer Research

The NCT School of Clinical Cancer Research (SCCR) provides the site-overarching framework for structured education, advanced training, and career development in clinical translational cancer research within the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT).

The mission of the SCCR is to strengthen the scientific and methodological expertise required for the planning, conduct, and advancement of early-phase clinical trials in Germany.

It addresses clinical researchers and physicians as well as trial-support personnel, creating a shared qualification platform across the entire clinical research pathway, from study conception and regulatory requirements to the implementation of complex translational study concepts.

The SCCR is embedded within the DKFZ Cancer Research Academy and closely aligned with the DKTK School of Oncology, thereby establishing a complementary training framework across the full translational continuum, from discovery research to clinical application.
