Patient Research Councils at the NCT sites

Each NCT site has a local patient research council whose members perform site-specific tasks and participate in local NCT committees.

  • Close collaboration: The cross-site NCT Patient Research Council and the local patient research councils work together closely to best represent patients’ needs in research. In turn, the specific experiences of the individual sites are incorporated into the nationwide work.

  • Active participation: Members of local patient research councils advise researchers on the development and implementation of clinical trials.

  • Strengthening partnerships: Patient research councils promote collaboration among researchers, patient representatives, and patient organizations at the site.
