Prof. David Mankoff is a distinguished imaging physician-scientist renowned for his contributions to the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. He serves as the Matthew J. Wilson Professor of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he serves as Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Radiology. His research focuses on PET and molecular imaging, radionuclide therapy, quantitative cancer imaging, and translational clinical trials, with applications in breast and thyroid cancer. He received a B.S. in Physics from Yale University and earned both his M.D. and Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by clinical training at the University of Washington. His work has been recognized with multiple national honors for research excellence and education in radiology and cancer imaging.
