Professor Alain Sauvanet is a leading expert in digestive and pancreatic surgery. He served (2015-2023) as the head of the Digestive Diseases Unit at Beaujon Hospital AP-HP and is since 2001 a professor at Université de Paris-Cité. His specialties include pancreatic surgery, hepatobiliary diseases, and general digestive surgery. He has made significant contributions through his research on pancreatic cancer, neuroendocrine tumors and postoperative complications such as pancreatic fistula.
