Bio

Dr. Christine Wu is a dedicated Patient Research Advocate with an extensive background in academia and cancer advocacy. She holds a PhD in Engineering and spent over 25 years as a professor before transitioning into advocacy following her diagnosis with advanced ROS1-positive lung cancer. Dr. Wu is actively engaged with multiple cancer organizations as an advocate. She serves on the Cancer Grand Challenges Advocacy Panel and the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network, and leads a patient group at the Université de Montréal that collaborates with researchers and clinicians to advance impactful cancer research.
She has served as a grant reviewer for the ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, Lung Cancer Canada, and the Canadian Cancer Research Alliance, and as a family representative on the board of the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology. Through her work as a grant reviewer and advocate, Dr. Wu ensures that patient perspectives are meaningfully integrated into research and funding decisions. Her involvement across diverse organizations reflects her deep commitment to improving cancer research, care, and support systems for patients and their families.
