Bio
Professor Anja Lorch is a hematologist and medical oncologist with a strong clinical and scientific focus on urological oncology. She studied medicine at the University of Marburg, where she completed her doctoral degree as well as her specialist training in internal medicine, followed by subspecialty training in hematology and oncology. Since 2009, she has held senior clinical positions at the University of Marburg and obtained her habilitation in 2011 with a thesis on prognosis and treatment strategies for recurrent and refractory germ cell tumors. Her research is dedicated on urological malignancies, including bladder, testicular, renal, and prostate cancers, with particular emphasis on clinical trials, targeted therapies, and the identification of predictive and prognostic biomarkers.
