Whole Genome Sequencing, WGS

Whole Genome Sequencing is an analysis of the entire genome. In other words, a person’s entire genetic information is examined. This enables specialists, for example, to identify changes in the genetic material of cancer cells and check whether these may play a role in the development of the disease. Any changes found may provide clues to potential targets for personalised therapy.
