RNA sequencing

RNA sequencing is an important technique in biological research and personalised medicine.

It allows researchers to investigate which sections of genetic information (known as genes) are active in a cell and to what extent they are being utilised.

RNA is a copy of the blueprint (DNA) for all the proteins in a cell. It transports the information to the locations within the cell where protein production takes place. By analysing RNA, experts can, for example, identify differences between healthy and diseased cells.
