Lymphodepletion is a procedure in which specific immune cells are selectively removed from the blood. This is usually done using a special form of chemotherapy. The aim is to make room for new immune cells and prevent rejection reactions – for example, in the context of stem cell transplants or CAR-T cell therapy.
