New Members of the Managing Directorate of NCT Berlin: Dominik Modest and Annette Künkele-Langer
Dominik Modest becomes Managing Director and new Spokesperson of NCT Berlin
Prof. Dr. med. Dominik Modest, since October 1, 2025, the new Director of the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCCC), will become Managing Director and new Spokesperson of the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Berlin. He succeeds Prof. Dr. med. Ulrich Keilholz as spokesperson, who will remain represented in the managing directorate of NCT Berlin as Director and Senior Professor. Prof. Modest will represent the interests of the Berlin site together with Prof. Dr. med. Lars Bullinger, Director of the Department of Internal Medicine with a focus on Hematology, Oncology, and Tumor Immunology at the Virchow Campus, in the steering committee of the NCT.
“I am very much looking forward to my new responsibilities and want to drive forward the fantastic opportunities that NCT Berlin offers for expanding clinical cutting-edge research and developing new therapeutic options for patients with fresh impulses,” says Dominik Modest.
Annette Künkele-Langer strengthens the managing directorate
As another new member of the managing directorate, Prof. Dr. med. Annette Künkele-Langer, Head of the Berlin Center for Advanced Therapies (BeCAT) and Senior Physician in the Department of Pediatrics with a focus on Oncology and Hematology since August 2025, brings her expertise to the expansion of NCT Berlin.
