National NCT Patient Research Council

The national NCT Patient Research Council of the expanded National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) consists of nine members, including a spokesperson and his deputy. All members have experience in self-help or patient representation and are already integrated into existing structures at the NCT sites.

The national NCT Patient Research Council is the voice of NCT patient participation nationwide and the contact for other national self-help and patient organizations. In addition, the members advise the national NCT committees on all questions of patient participation. The goal is to involve patients in all phases of cancer research.

The national NCT Patient Research Council works closely with the local patient research councils at the NCT sites.
